    MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB)- A new Army report is shedding light on the moments that led up to the death of 21-year-old Sgt. Shaina Schmigel during a routine training exercise.
    Schmigel, a Medina native, died in May 2014 after she became entangled in another jumper’s line and broke her neck.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police are searching for the suspects who robbed a student while he was on his way to school.
    Police say the 17-year-old was jumped by two to four males on Main Street, near the corner of Bryant Street, at around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
    The victim was headed to P.S. 197, the Math Science Technology Preparatory School, at the time.
    The victim’s shoes were stolen and he suffered minor injuries in the attack.
