    POLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — Texting and driving may be to blame for a crash between a car and Amish buggy in Chautauqua County.
    Police say they responded on Friday morning around 11 a.m. to Falconer Frewsburg Road in the Town of Poland after a driver there took a turn too fast. The driver, identified as Amanda Braley, entered the opposite lane of the roadway, crashing into an Amish buggy with five people inside.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Grand Island man is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash.
    Police say a driver traveling north on the I-190 rear-ended another vehicle and drove off. The driver whose car was hit wrote down the other vehicle’s license plate number and called it in to police. Officers then began their hunt for 56-year-old Donald C. Truitt.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two Buffalo Police Department officers are recovering in the Erie County Medical Center after responding to a burglary on Friday.
    Calls rang out for help on William Street on Friday morning during a burglary at a local business. Two responding officers, a male and female, suffered injury during the response.
    Officers arrested one person in connection with the incident, but an investigation is continuing.

    NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a stunt plane has crashed while practicing tricks for a weekend air show in New York, killing the pilot.
    Trooper Steven Nevel says the propeller-driven plane crashed at around 2 p.m. Friday at Stewart International Airport in the Orange County town of New Windsor. The New York Air Show is scheduled to take place there this weekend.
