  BATON ROUGE - Every day, 22 veterans die by suicide. To combat the tragedy, one organization is encouraging veterans to get up and get outside. Military-Veterans Advocacy is a group based out of Slidell. On Saturday, the group made its way to the capital city to remind veterans to take a break. "It's really wonderful. • Cousin of New Orleans drug kingpin found dead in Elayn Hunt while serving sentence for manslaughter

  ST. GABRIEL - The cousin of New Orleans kingpin Telly Hankton was found dead in his cell at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center early Saturday. According to a spokesperson for the Department of Corrections, Julius "JuJu" Hankton was found unresponsive shortly after midnight. Prison staff and Acadian Ambulance paramedics administered CPR to Hankton, but he was pronounced dead an hour later. The DOC says his cause of death has not been determined but no foul play is expected

  BATON ROUGE - Three people were displaced after their home along Madison Avenue caught fire Saturday. According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, the fire started around 2:30 p.m. and was under control within half an hour. Firefighters said the flames were centered around one bedroom, but the whole house sustained smoke and water damage.   LAPLACE - Deputies are looking for a 16-year-old girl who was last seen at her LaPlace home on May 7. According to the St. John Parish Sheriff's Office, Ebony Raton was missing for a month before her family notified deputies on June 7 that she gone. Deputies say Raton has a history of running away.   BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police are investigating a shooting that left one dead near Lobdell Boulevard Friday night.The shooting occurred on North Donmoor Avenue, near Lobdell Boulevard, shortly after 11 p.m. Friday.Authorities say officers arrived on the scene and found 43-year-old Eric Clennon with multiple gunshot wounds.
