  BATON ROUGE - The LSU softball team will be a regional host. The Tigers get the 10 seed and will play Prairie View A&M on game 1Louisiana-Lafayette is also in the regional. The two teams split the season series earlier this year.   BATON ROUGE - The LSU bullpen continued to struggle in the series finale against Mississippi State. After giving up seven runs in the final two innings on Saturday, the Tigers saw a 13-4 lead collapse with State scoring nine runs combined in the 6th and 7th innings. • Covington man on motorcycle killed in drunk-driving crash early Sunday morning

  COVINGTON - A man was killed on Sunday morning when an alleged drunk driver ran into his motorcycle. According to State Police, 34-year-old Marlin Swaggerty was driving along LA 437 near North Fitzmorris Road around 1 a.m. Troopers say 54-year-old Warren Barringer was driving the opposite way of Swaggerty and made a left turn, hitting the front of the motorcycle.
