• Portion of Florida Boulevard closed as crews respond to building fire

    BATON ROUGE - Authorities shut down a portion of Florida Boulevard Sunday night as crews responded to a fire at a local business.The fire was reported sometime after 9:30 p.m. Sunday night. According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, crews are responding to the fire at the Hair Connection in the 4200 block of Florida.Traffic is shut down at the scene as crews try to get the fire under control.There is currently no word on injuries.Check back for updates.Permalink| Comments

  • Driver injured after ramming concrete barricade on closed bridge
