  NEW ORLEANS - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says an investigation is underway after a burglar broke into a New Orleans Police officer's personal vehicle and stole a police weapon Sunday.The sheriff's office told WWL the burglary happened around 2:52 p.m. in the 3900 block of North I-10 Service Road in Metairie. • I-10 East reopens at LA 415 after vehicle recovery

  PORT ALLEN - The eastbound lanes of I-10 were blocked Sunday afternoon near Lobdell due to a vehicle recovery operation.According to DOTD, both lanes of the interstate were closed around 6p.m. at Highway 415 as crews worked to clear the roadway.   BATON ROUGE - A growing number of Louisiana's high school seniors are applying for federal aid to help cover college costs, a boom in applications pushed by state officials.
