Officers got a call about a carjacking involving a white BMW at around 9:41 p.m. Wednesday night. Detectives found the vehicle in the Northwest District. They called for marked police units to stop the vehicle.

Police Arrest Man For Alleged Past Sexual Abuse Of Former Bel Air Middle School Student
FALLSTON, MD. (WJZ) — A man in Baltimore County is charged with several sexual abuse charges of a former student while he was a teacher at Bel Air Middle School between 1999 and 2000, police say.
Police began to investigate John David Hobbs, 51, after he was accused of sexually abusing his former student who was a juvenile at the time.

CLARKSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — A missing 13-year-old girl from Clarksville has been found safe, police said Thursday evening.
Police believe Jinyue Zhang left her home in the 12900 block of Kentbury Drive on foot sometime after midnight on Thursday.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An 18-year-old man is arrested almost a full year after he allegedly shot and killed a 33-year-old man in east Baltimore last June.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 24-year-old man died in a shooting in southwest Baltimore Thursday morning, police said.
The shooting happened around 10:20 a.m. in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue. Police said officers responded to the area after getting a Shot Spotter alert. When they arrived, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man died at the scene, police said.

Baltimore County Public Library Announces Book Drop Opening, Curbside Service
TOWSON, MD. (WJZ) — Baltimore County Public Library is revealing its next steps in reopening some library services.

ANNAPOLIS (WJZ) — Hospitalizations go down for the 15th consecutive day as the state passes 60,000 infections, state officials report Thursday morning.
There are currently 902 people hospitalized for the coronavirus, including 544 in acute care and 358 in intensive care.

Neurosurgeons performed an augmented reality surgery on a living patient.
During the procedure, they placed six screws in someone’s spine for a spinal fusion surgery.
