    BALTIMORE (AP) — K.J. Jackson had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as UMBC topped Maine 63-53 on Saturday.
    L.J. Owens had 15 points for UMBC (9-12, 2-4 America East Conference). Brandon Horvath added 11 points. R.J. Eytle-Rock had 10 points and six rebounds.
    Andrew Fleming had 18 points for the Black Bears (6-15, 2-5). Stephane Ingo added eight rebounds.
    UMBC matches up against Albany at home on Wednesday. Maine faces Hartford at home next Saturday.

    According to police, the boy got into an argument with another individual, and at some point, the suspect stabbed him with an unknown object.
    The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

    TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) — Police in Baltimore County are investigating after an attempted carjacking in Towson on Friday night.
    Police were called just before 6:30 p.m. to the 800 block of Stoneleigh Road for a report of an attempted carjacking. When officers arrived, the victim told police a group of teenagers attempted to carjack her.
    Police said one suspect assaulted the victim, and another had a weapon, but the victim resisted and fought back.

    WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) — A Carroll County man is facing assault charges, accused of stabbing a man after calling him racial slurs.
    Police were called to East Main Street in Westminster for a report of an assault.
    Responding officers found the victim holding the suspect, Buck Sexton, to the ground as he suffered from two stab wounds to his stomach.
