• Baltimore Opens Application Period For Dockless Vehicle Program

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Companies hoping to operate dockless bicycles or electric scooters in Baltimore are now able to apply for the city’s dockless vehicle program, transportation department officials said Wednesday.
    Dockless vehicles, which have popped up in parts of the city in recent months, are equipped with GPS sensors and are available for rent using a smartphone. Unlike other vehicle-sharing programs, dockless vehicles do not have to be returned to a station after use.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are searching for Devin Segar, a suspect in an attempted murder in Baltimore from July 2.
    At around 10:50 p.m. that night, a 33-year-old woman was shot in the back of the head inside her home in the 1000 block of Walker Avenue.
    After shooting the victim, the suspect grabbed a knife and attempted to stab her in the torso, police said.

    BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Four new speed cameras will be activated Friday in Baltimore County school zones.
    The schools include Sandalwood Elementary, Deep Creek Middle, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and Victory Villa Elementary.
    Officials said for the first 30 days, motorists exceeding the speed limit by at least 12 miles per hour will only receive warnings.

    POTOMAC, Md. (WJZ) — A Potomac home collapsed after heavy rains Monday caused a mudslide.
