    BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — It’s summertime, and it’s time to fire up the grill!
    With the summer grill season in full swing, the Baltimore County Fire Department is reminding residents to stay safe.
    Baltimore County officials are reminding those who plan to grill this summer that the use of charcoal or propane-fueled grills — or any other open flame cooking or heating device — on any balcony or within 15 feet of multi-family buildings such as apartments.

  • Hanover Street Bridge Closed For Weekend Repairs

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Hanover Street bridge is closed to traffic this weekend for repairs.
    The bridge shut down at 6 a.m. on Saturday and will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.
    If you’re planning on driving in the area, southbound traffic is being rerouted onto I-95 before coming back to Hanover Street.
    Northbound traffic is being redirected to Waterview Ave. 295 and Hamburg Street.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore City Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead on Saturday.
    Police were in the Sharp Street area around 1:51 a.m. investigating an unrelated incident. While there, police heard gunfire and began searching the area for evidence of a shooting.
    Officers arrived in the 900 block of Peach Street where they discovered a 37-year-old man and a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore City Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing vulnerable adult.
    Debra Rhue, 58, was last seen on June 6, in the 3900 block of Chatham Road East.
    She was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue sweat pants with a white stripe down the side and black slippers.
    Family and friends are concerned for Rhue’s well being.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A driver involved in an accident in northwest Baltimore left the scene with a large amount of drugs in his vehicle, according to police.
    Police say the accident happened last week in the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road.
    Responding officers discovered the driver of the unoccupied vehicle left the scene of the accident.
