  • Man Severely Injured In Woodlawn Shooting, Police Say

    WOODLAWN, Md. (WJZ) — A man in Woodlawn was shot several times late Saturday night, Baltimore County Police said Sunday afternoon.
    Police were called to the 900 block of Coleridge Road, 21229 for the shooting at around 10:15 p.m. Saturday night when a man was struck several times in both the upper and lower body.
    He was taken to an area hospital where he suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
    The suspect fled the area before police arrived.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — Brindi Griffin and Grace Griffin each scored three goals and Maryland won its 14th national championship in women’s lacrosse with a 12-10 victory over Boston College on Sunday at Johns Hopkins.
    Caroline Steele added two goals for Terrapins, who were appearing in the title game for the sixth time in seven years.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating a shooting late Saturday night that left four people injured in SE Baltimore.
    At around 11 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the 500 block of N. Belnord Avenue for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they first found a 36-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

    LINTHICUM, MD. (WJZ) — A third person was arrested at BWI in three days after TSA caught him with a handgun.
    The man, from Hopewell, Virginia, was caught at the checkpoint on Friday with a 9 mm handgun in his carry-on bag.It was not loaded. The man told TSA officials that he was carrying the bag that he usually takes to the firing range and he said he did not know that he had his gun with him.
