    WEST FRIENDSHIP, Md. (WJZ) — A woman is dead following a two-car collision on Route 32 in Howard County.
    Howard County Police closed Route 32 northbound at Interstate 70 after the fatal crash. It reopened at 4:44 p.m.

    DAMASCUS, MD. (WJZ) — Damascus High School’s principal is no longer working at the high school, she said in a letter Tuesday.
    “Effective immediately, I am transitioning out of my role as principal to another position in MCPS,” said Casey Crouse.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A serious crash involving a dump truck left one person hospitalized caused major traffic delays during the beginning of rush hour on the beltway.
    Maryland State Police were on the scene of the accident on the outer loop of I-695 prior to I-70 in Baltimore County where a dump truck overturned on its side and spilled gravel over the highway.
    The driver of the dump truck was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of injuries. No other injuries were reported.

    NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard’s flagship and cadet training vessel Eagle is returning to Connecticut.
    The Day reports that the 295-foot barque will homeport in New London starting July 26 after a four-year, $29 million overhaul.
