    WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJZ) — Police have identified a suspect in the beating death of a three-month-old baby.
    D.C. police are looking for 25-year-old Cornell Delvonte Holton.
    He is wanted for first-degree murder in the death of three-month-old Skylar Newman.
    She was found unconscious on March 16 and died three days later.
    Details of the crime have not been released, or how the suspect is connected to the child.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Anne Arundel County police are looking for help tracking down two men accused of stealing from a Red Roof Inn.
    One of the men is masked, police said the crime occurred on Parkway Drive, that’s in Hanover.

  • Arborists Repair Cherry Blossoms After Festival

    WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJZ) — The Cherry Blossom Festival is over, and now the work begins.
    National Park Service arborists said they will now repair, remove and replace damaged cherry trees.
    About 1.5 million people visited the Tidal Basin for the festival.
    Monday, arborists surveyed the trees and put them in order of which need to be fixed first depending on how bad off they are.
    They have about a month to work to make sure they survive for next year.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A second measles case has been confirmed in a Maryland resident, Maryland Department of Health confirmed Tuesday.
    The second confirmed case is a household contact of the first confirmed case, and both acquired the measles outside of Maryland in an area with an ongoing measles outbreak.
    There is no evidence of an ongoing spread of measles in Maryland at this time, they said.

    (CBS Local) — Five months after a study found men with beards to be more attractive, a new report suggests a man’s beard contains more germs than dogs carry in their fur.
    Researchers at the Hirslanden Clinic in Switzerland took swab samples from the whiskers of 18 men, aged from 18 to 76, and compared them with samples from the necks of 30 dogs of varying breeds.
