• Babe Ruth’s Last Surviving Daughter Dies In Nevada At 102

    HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Julia Ruth Stevens, the last surviving daughter of Hall of Fame baseball slugger Babe Ruth and a decades-long champion of his legacy, has died at age 102, her family has announced.
    Tom Stevens said Sunday that his mother died Saturday morning at an assisted living facility in Henderson, Nevada, after a short illness.
    In keeping with her wishes, her remains will be cremated with burial sometime this spring in Conway, New Hampshire, where she used to live, Tom Stevens

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One man is in critical condition following a shooting in southwest Baltimore Sunday afternoon, according to police.
    Police were called to the 2900 block of Mosher Street for a reported shooting around 3:57 p.m.
    When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
    The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A body was found partially decomposed inside a Mount Vernon apartment complex Tuesday, according to police.
    Police were called to the building in the unit block of East Read Street around 9:38 a.m. Tuesday morning.
    When police arrived, they found the body of a 64-year-old man.
    Police said that there were no signs of trauma to the body and that foul play is not suspected.

    WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) — A Westminster man is under arrest for allegedly raping a woman at a Carroll County library, according to police.
    Nikolas Tasony is charged with second degree-rape and physical abuse of a vulnerable adult.
    Police were called to the Carroll County Library after surveillance footage captured Tasony coming out of a family restroom with a woman diagnosed with an intellectual disability.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police are seeking the help of the public in finding a missing vulnerable adult.
    Gwendolyn Rooks, 83, was last seen on March 9, around 1 p.m. in the 500 block of Woodside Road.
    At the time she was last seen, Rooks was wearing a burgundy jacket, gray T-shirt and black pants.
    She was driving a 2009 blue Chrysler mini-van.
    Anyone with information on Rooks’ whereabouts is asked to call 911.
