    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A U.S. Naval Academy oceanography professor says Annapolis’ sea level is projected to rise as much as 3.6 feet (1.1 meter) by 2050, and an advisory council is helping the riverside academy make decisions about flood-related matters.
    Professor Gina Henderson briefed the academy’s Board of Visitors on Monday about the Sea Level Rise Advisory Council. It was created in 2015 to help plan for the impact of rising sea levels.

    BALTIMORE (AP) —The Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland is concerned about the toll smoking has taken on the African-American community and is leading an effort to impose restrictions on access to tobacco products.

    ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) — Three men are wanted in connection with an early morning robbery of a Walmart where they rushed an employee and stole several electronics.
    The suspects entered the store at 5 a.m. Monday and asked the electronics section employee to see smartwatches.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore Police Department officer was taken to Shock Trauma after they were involved in a crash with two other vehicles Sunday.

    Friends say Jacqueline Smith lived in Aberdeen and was likely only in the city to drop family members off. They’re in disbelief the man who killed her got away.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A part-time coach at Mercy High School has been charged with sexually abusing a student, according to the school.
    Ernest Jackson, a former part-time coach for indoor track, outdoor track, and soccer, has been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of a student.
    The investigation into Jackson began just before Thanksgiving, when school officials got a report that Jackson had sexually abused a student.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — A state panel has recommended that a Baltimore City District Court judge be immediately suspended for six months due to misconduct.
    The Daily Record reports that the Commission on Judicial Disabilities decided that Judge Devy Patterson Russell should be punished for yelling at judges and staff and other inappropriate behavior.
    The commission also found that Russell failed to process search warrants properly.
