    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday for bringing a gun to school in Baltimore.
    The student brought the unloaded gun to Success Academy School.
    It was discovered when they tried to go through the schools’ metal detectors.
    The teen is being charged as an adult.

    GREENBELT, Md. (WJZ) — An Airman in the U.S. Air Force pleaded guilty Wednesday to abusive sexual contact with a child.
    The abuse occurred while the Airman, Mitchell Oren Smith, 28, resided at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Md.
    According to his plea agreement, from at least July 22, 2017 and continuing on for several months, Smith engaged in sexually explicit conduct with a child victim who was under 10-years-old.

  • Maryland Deer Hunters Get New Tax Break For Donating Venison

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Some Maryland deer hunters now can claim a credit against their state income taxes for donating their processed venison to the hungry.
    A new law allows hunters to receive a $50 tax credit for each antlerless deer they harvest and pay to have butchered. The maximum credit hunters may claim in one tax year is $200, for up to four antlerless deer.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man was sentenced to 75 years in prison for second-degree murder and associated charges in the October 2017 shooting death of Demetrius Mitchell.
    The defendant, Chaunisty Wallace, was also found guilty of using a handgun in a crime of violence, wearing, carrying and transporting of a weapon; and being prohibited person in possession of a gun.

    (CNN) — There are now 286 cases of possible and confirmed acute flaccid myelitis in the United States this year, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal crash on Baldwin Mill Road.
    Officers responded to Baldwin Mill Road near Sweet Air Road around 1:25 a.m. Wednesday. They found a 1998 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound when it left the roadway, hit a tree and overturned.
