    A multi-million dollar deal is in the works to put more cameras on Baltimore County streets, and red light runners should beware.

    (CNN) — Abortion rates in the United States have dropped to their lowest level in 10 years, according to a report released Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • Man Killed In Afternoon Baltimore Shooting

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating a fatal Wednesday afternoon shooting in north Baltimore.
    Officers were called to the 400 block of East 28th Street at 12:04 p.m.for a report of gunshots heard in the area. When they arrived they found a man inside a car suffering from gunshot wounds.
    The man was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

    DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) — A volunteer firefighter with Baltimore County was arrested after he allegedly detonated an explosive device behind an elementary school in Dundalk last weekend.

  • First Cold-Related Death Reported In Maryland

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Officials say a man died of hypothermia, making his death the first cold-related death of the season in Maryland.
    The Maryland Department Of Health and the office of the Chief Medical Examiner released that information Wednesday.
    Hypothermia occurs when the body temperature falls below 95 degrees.
    The man, who was 65 years of age, died in Garrett County.

    DETROIT (AP) — Honda is recalling 122,000 minivans worldwide because the sliding doors can open while the vans are moving.
    The recall covers Odyssey vans from 2018 and 2019.
    Honda says some parts in the power door rear latches can stick and stop the doors from fastening securely. The company says it has no reports of injuries.
