    CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — Maryland police say three officers are recovering from injuries after a suspected thief resisted arrest.
    Cumberland police said Sunday that 34-year-old Sidney Charles of Edgewood faces charges of assault, resisting arrest and one count of theft under $100. A supervisor at the Allegany County Detention Center where Charles is being held without bond said there was no record showing whether he had an attorney.

    (CNN) — The man suspected of shooting two women at a Tallahassee, Florida, yoga studio had been accused of harassing women in the area, according to police, and reportedly made misogynistic remarks on YouTube videos.

  • Man Killed In Frederick Assault Outside Bar Identified

    FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ) — Authorities in Frederick County have identified the man killed after he was assaulted outside a bar.
    Frederick County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Cactus Flats Bar & Grill around 10:41 p.m. on Friday for an assault in progress.
    When they arrived to the bar on Hansonville Road they found a man with serious injuries.
    Bystanders, deputies and EMS staff performed life-saving efforts, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Three-year-old Avi Smith and 1-year-old Semi Smith were last seen in Gwynn Oak on Saturday in the 4600 Liberty Heights Avenue at approximately 10:25 p.m.

    COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) — A 14-year-old Baltimore teen was charged after prank calling 911.
    According to Howard County Police, the teen was charged with nine counts of telephone misuse after investigators determined he made a series of prank calls in October — including reports of gunshots at two schools and numerous other public places.

    COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) — Police in Howard County are investigating after a woman reported a teen slapped her and stole candy on Halloween.
    According to police, a woman said a group of teenagers came to her door in the 6300 block of Windharp Way around 6:38 p.m.
    When she opened her door to hand them candy thinking they were trick-or-treaters, one of the teens allegedly slapped her and stole candy.

    CINCINNATI (AP) — Desmond Ridder led three touchdown drives before hurting his right leg, and the Cincinnati Bearcats overpowered Navy’s option-based offense while pulling away to a 42-0 victory on Saturday.

  • 10-Year-Old, 14-Year-Olds Charged In Armed Robbery At Columbia Park

    COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) — A 10-year-old and two 14-year-old boys were arrested in the October armed robbery of a juvenile at Blandair Park in Columbia.
    According to Howard County Police, a juvenile boy reported he was robbed in the 5700 block of Oakland Mills Road on Oct. 22 around 4:17 p.m.
    The boy told police he was approached by three teenagers. One of the 14-year-old suspects pulled out a gun and demanded the boy’s backpack.
    The victim complied and the suspects fled.
