    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen has issued a code red heat advisory for Labor Day.
    The heat advisory is for Monday and Tuesday as the heat index is expected to be over 100 degrees.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Crews are on scene of a drowning at the Gunpowder Falls State Park.
    The drowning happened in the Gunpowder River near the CSX railway near Jones Rd., according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.
    Units from Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company, Middle River, Perry Hall and Back River Neck are assisting.
    The victim reportedly suffered a cardiac incident.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Authorities say a 27-year-old man from Baltimore drowned at the Gunpowder Falls State Park Sunday.
    The drowning happened in the Gunpowder River near the CSX railway near Jones Rd., according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.
    The victim has been identified as Mohamad Ahmady Elgouhary.

  • Two Divers Injured During Search For Missing Flood Victim

    CRESWELL, MD (WJZ)– Maryland State Police say two Baltimore City search divers have been flown to Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment after being injured during a dive in Harford County.
    Maryland State Police spokesperson, Ron Snyder, says the divers were assisting Maryland State Police in the search for the second missing victim of Friday nights deadly floods when they were forced to immediately surface do to an unknown issue.

  • Maryland State Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash In AACO

    ANNAPOLIS, MD — Maryland State Police are investigating a crash in which two people died early Sunday morning in Anne Arundel County.
    Investigators say the crash took place around 12:50 a.m. on eastbound U.S Route 50 at Ridgely Avenue and involved a silver Ford Expedition that crashed into a motorcycle.

    HARFORD CO., Md. (WJZ) — A body has been recovered as the search continues following flooding in Harford County.  Maryland State Police say several victims may have been swept away by fast-moving floodwaters Friday night.

    QUEEN ANNE, Md. (WJZ) — Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company released a statement that their assistant fire chief has died in the line of duty.
    Assistant Fire Chief Daniel “Danny” Lister was operating on the scene of a motor vehicle collision with multiple entrapped patients on Maryland Route 404 at Old Queen Anne Road and suffered a medical emergency.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A shooting was reported Saturday evening in Southwest Baltimore.
    Officers responded to the 4500 block of Edmondson Avenue at around 5:11 p.m. Saturday evening for the report of a shooting.
