  • State Officials: 3.1 Million Gallons Of Sewer Water Spills

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A messy situation has arisen for a waterway in Maryland.
    State officials said 3.1 million gallons of sewer water spilled into the Jones Falls following heavy rain earlier this week.
    The City Department of Public Works said the overflows happened early Wednesday morning.
    They said saturated ground combined with the heavy rain caused the massive overflows. The City Heath Department and Maryland Department of the Environment have been notified.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A federal jury has indicted Kevin J. Gorbsky, 32 of Bowie, Md., on five counts of enticement of a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity and one count of transferring obscene material to a minor.

    (AP) — The University of Arizona has accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding over the past 16 years from a foundation infamous for promoting research linking race and intelligence.
