    FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ) — Jose Castellano, 20, of Frederick, Md. entered a guilty plea to participation in a criminal gang and in the commission of a crime in association with the gang.

    (CNN) — Surveillance video released Wednesday shows the chaotic moments outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on the day a gunman killed 17 people.

    (CNN) — A preliminary autopsy on Mollie Tibbetts’ body determined that her death was a homicide resulting from multiple sharp force injuries, the Iowa State Medical Examiner said.
    Tibbetts, a 20-year-old student at the University of Iowa, went missing after an evening jog on July 18, sparking a major search in the region.   • Woman Contracts UK’s First Reported Case Of Rare Flesh-Eating STD

    UNITED KINGDOM (CBS Local) – A woman in the United Kingdom has reportedly been diagnosed with a rare, flesh-eating sexually transmitted disease.
    According to Yahoo News, it is the first case of the disease to be reported in the U.K. and it causes ulcers to form on the genitals.
    The STD, known as donovanosis, is more commonly found in parts of India, Papua New Guinea, the Caribbean, Australia, and Africa. The CDC says the ulcers are typically “painless” and slow growing. ho

  • Man Arrested For Several Frederick County Burglaries

    FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ) — Police arrested a man for several burglaries and thefts in Frederick County while investigating a stolen vehicle.
    Officers responded to the 8000 block of Reichs Ford Road for a report of a stolen motor vehicle on May 31. In late July, the vehicle had been located near Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. It was then returned to it’s owner.

    CBS NEWS — Icelandic actor Stefan Karl Stefansson, who played villain Robbie Rotten on children’s show “LazyTown,” has died at 43 from cancer. The actor was on “LazyTown” from 2004 to 2014.

    (CNN) — Two people were killed and one “badly injured” in a knife attack Thursday morning in Trappes, a suburb west of Paris, according to France’s National Police.
