  • Teenager In Custody After Barricading Himself In Home With A Gun

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A teenager is now in custody after police said he barricaded himself inside a home, armed with a semi-automatic gun.
    According to police, after 7 p.m. Thursday night, on the 2900 block of Oakford Avenue, 19-year-old Andre Turner had pointed a gun at people on the street, before going inside a home.
    After hours of negotiations, Turner surrendered.

  • ‘Seedless Tragedy’: Watermelons Fall Off Truck On North Texas Highway

    DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Three lanes of Highway 175 at Masters in Southeast Dallas were shut down for a while Friday afternoon due to a watermelon spill.
    Boxes of watermelons fell out of a truck carrying them down the road.
    Chopper11 showed an officer kicking large chunks of watermelon off the highway and into the grass.

  • 2 Suspects In Possible Carjacking Apprehended Friday

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A suspect vehicle that was being pursued Friday afternoon by police may have been involved in a carjacking.
    The car crashed into a Jersey Wall on Maryland Avenue. Police were able to apprehend two suspects and two guns. The suspects were taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
    This incident is still being investigated and will be updated with more information as it comes.

  • Police Investigating Reported Stabbing At Maryland McDonald’s Friday

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man called police Friday afternoon to a McDonalds at 101 W. Patapsco Avenue, and said he was being stabbed by four different people.
    He said he was able to run to his car and lock it to call the police. They arrived at the scene and are currently investigating. The man was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating what led to a collision between two boats in the Chesapeake Bay Friday.
    Authorities report the call came in just after noon about two boats that collided near Thomas Point.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police have arrested a 29-year-old suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 7-year-old Taylor Hayes in July.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore police are continuing to search for the suspect in a double shooting in southwest Baltimore after he fled into a neighborhood.
    Police confirm one of the two people shot has died while the other has non-life threatening injuries.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A federal jury has found a 41-year-old Maryland man guilty of throwing Molotov cocktails at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment back in 2017.
    Darius Eric Wilder was convicted on charges related to a firebombing on April 15, 2017. He is set for sentencing on December 6 at 10 a.m.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A police officer has been hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in Baltimore Thursday.
    The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Park Heights and Wylie avenues.
