• 4-Year-Old Struck By Vehicle In Baltimore

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 4-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle due to pedestrian error Thursday afternoon, but is currently not suffering any life-threatening injuries.
    Police responded to a call for a pedestrian struck at around 4:45 p.m. in the 5300 block of Wright Ave. The boy was alert and talking. He was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Pennsylvania grand jury report released a 900-page report Tuesday, detailing decades of widespread sex abuse by priests.

    WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) — Maryland officials are warning residents in Carroll County of a phone scam.
    Office of the State’s Attorney for Carroll County said residents received phone calls from the phone number 646-682-0913 on Aug. 2 around noon. The caller claimed to be from the IRS, and due to an audit, thousands of dollars are owed to the IRS.

    (CNN) — A Colorado man faces three counts of murder after his pregnant wife and two young daughters disappeared this week, authorities said Thursday.
    Chris Watts was taken into custody Wednesday night and is being held in the Weld County Jail, north of Denver, the Frederick Police Department said in a statement. He’ll appear in court Thursday afternoon.

  • Two People Escape House Fire In Anne Arundel Co.

    PASADENA (WJZ) — Fire officials say two adults were able to escape a house fire in Pasadena Thursday afternoon.
    Anne Arundel County Fire crews were called to the 500 block of Cardinal Drive around 3 p.m. for the single-alarm fire.

    BOWIE, Md. (AP) — At least half of the 14 public schools near a Maryland city have tested high for lead concentrations in drinking water since last year.

    ARLINGTON, Va. (WJZ) — An airport-wide power outage at Reagan National Airport was reported Wednesday evening.
    A backup generator reportedly provided lighting to several areas of the terminal during the outage.
