    HAMPSTEAD, Md. (AP) — Officials in Maryland are planning a controlled breach of a dam at a Maryland lake pushed to capacity by heavy rains.
    The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday night that a controlled breach of the dam at Cascade Lake near Hampstead is tentatively scheduled for Monday.
    Workers were removing water from the lake Sunday to reach levels where the dam can be breached safely.

    SOMERSET CO., Md. (WJZ) — Police are investigating the death of a 65-year-old man who was working on his boat Sunday morning on East Creek.
    Maryland Natural Resources Police said the unidentified Somerset County man was found dead after becoming tangled in lines while working on his jon boat.
    An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
    An investigation is ongoing.

    CLEARLAKE, Calif. (AP) — Officials say a utility worker has been killed near a Northern California wildfire as crews continue to battle multiple blazes that have forced more evacuations.
    Pacific Gas and Electric spokeswoman Melissa Subbotin says the worker sustained fatal injuries in a vehicle-related accident Saturday on the western edge of the Carr fire in Shasta County.

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A domestic related murder suicide attempt near Norbeck Road leaves police searching for answers.

    ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY –  Police and Fire Officials are on the scene of a bus accident that occurred around 9:45 a.m on I-295 near Route 32.
    Anne Arundel County Fire PIO, Captain Russ Davies, said the accident involves a total of 14 patients.

  • 19-Year-Old Shot In Harford County

    EDGEWOOD, Md. (WJZ) — The search is on for a killer in Harford County, after deputies say a 19-year-old is gunned down in the parking lot of Edgewood High School.
    The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Friday night. Deputies said when they arrived at Edgewood High School, they found Thaliek Willis, inside a vehicle with a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
