    SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — A Maryland police officer has been cleared by investigators after he fatally shot a man who reportedly attacked him, officials said Monday.
    Montgomery County Police announced that prosecutors in neighboring Howard County determined that Officer Anand Badgujar’s actions during the June 11 encounter with Robert White were justified. Police have said body-worn camera footage shows White assaulting Badgujar twice in a townhouse community’s parking lot.

    ANNE ARUNDEL CO., Md. (WJZ) — Two people were killed after the vehicle they were in went off the road in Anne Arundel County Monday afternoon.
    The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. on I-97 southbound in Millersville, near the Benfield exit.
    Authorities say two men were pronounced dead at the scene following the single-vehicle crash.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — This summer, about 6,000 Baltimore area teens are on the job through a long-running program run out of the mayor’s office.
    A group of 60 teens is helping people who aren’t getting enough to eat. They made boxed lunches Monday in a cold warehouse.
    The lunches will go to more than 350 churches, youth and senior centers.

    Family and friends mourned the untimely deaths of 60-year-old Deborah Limmer and Delaney Gaddis at a Timonium funeral home.
    The pair were out for a morning walk July 23 when a driver lost control of an SUV, hopped the curb and hit them on the sidewalk.
