    BALTIMORE CO., Md. (WJZ) — A woman had to be rescued Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle became stuck in Baltimore County because of high waters.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Maryland Zoo welcomes two new additions to their zoo, two Kunekune pigs named Wilbur and Orville.
    The Kunekune pigs are native to New Zealand and are often kept as pets. Wilbur and his brother Orville are five months old and weight about 20 to 30 lbs, but when they are fully grown they can weight up to 200 lbs.

    NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (CBS Local) – A Virginia man has died after a freak accident resulted in the man stabbing himself in the groin with a sword.

    (CNN) — For three decades, the abduction, rape and murder of 8-year-old April Tinsley in April 1988 had frustrated Indiana investigators.

    TIMONIUM, Md. (WJZ) — A missing Baltimore County teen was found dead inside a vacant home in Baltimore.
    According to county police, 18-year-old Devon Peter Ireland of the 11900 block of Thurloe Drive in Timonium was reported missing on July 1.
    Family members and police searched for Ireland and on July 16, his family was told he was inside a vacant home on Washburn Avenue.
    Baltimore Police responded to the home on June 29 and located an 18-year-old man deceased inside the home.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Former Senator Nathaniel Oaks, 71, has been sentenced 3.5 years in prison with a $30,000 fine. He has 60 days to surrender himself.
    US District Judge Richard D. Bennett sentenced the former state senator to 42 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for one count of wire fraud and one count of honest services wire fraud. Oaks must also pay the $30,000 fine and perform 80 hours of community service.
