  • Average Gas Price Falls 6 Cents A Gallon; 1st Drop In Months

    CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — The average price of a regular gallon of gasoline fell 6 cents over the past two weeks, to $2.95.
    That’s the first drop in nearly four months. Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg warns that the decline could be temporary, however.
    Lundberg said Sunday that oil prices recently rose $3 per barrel after OPEC said it is limiting oil production. She says it’s likely that will lead to increased prices at the pump in the weeks ahead.

    ATLANTA (AP) — Freddie Freeman’s two-run single in the first inning gave Atlanta the lead, Dansby Swanson added a pinch-hit, two-run homer in the eighth and the Braves beat Baltimore 5-3 on Sunday for their first win over the Orioles in six years.
    Baltimore won the first two games of the series and swept the last set between the teams in 2015. Atlanta ended a stretch of seven straight losses to the Orioles since 2012.

  • Maryland Panel To Hold Hearing On Voter Registration Error

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Maryland Senate panel will hold a hearing next month into a Motor Vehicle Administration error that may have resulted in thousands of people not being properly registered to vote in Tuesday’s primary.
    Sen. Joan Carter Conway said Sunday the error “may impact the outcome of close races.” Conway also is criticizing Gov. Larry Hogan’s administration “for this mess.”

  • Double Fatal Accident On JFX Under Investigation

    RUXTON, MD (WJZ)– Maryland State Police say two people were killed in a double fatal crash early this morning on the northbound JFX in Baltimore County.
    Investigators say a male and female were killed when two vehicles crashed at 1:14a.m.
    The female victim was found in the vehicle while the male was found after troopers searched the area and found his body in a stream bed below the roadway.

    Authorities responded to Rocks State Park in Pylesville, Maryland, around 6 p.m. Saturday.

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina lawmaker who defeated U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford in his re-election bid was seriously injured in a vehicle crash on Friday and will require weeks of recovery and more procedures, a spokesman said.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating after an 86-year-old man was hit and killed by an SUV in Baltimore County.
    Baltimore County Police say Benny Bitolas Villalobos was crossing York Road near Sherwood Road in Cockeysville just before 9:30 Friday when he was hit by a Chevy Suburban.
    Villalobos was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, authorities say.
    He later died at an area hospital.
