  • Farm Owner Faces Animal Cruelty Charges Over Dead Horses

    SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — The owner of a farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore has been indicted on animal cruelty charges after dozens of dead and sick horses were found on her property.
    Seventy-four-year-old Barbara Pilchard of Hebron made in initial appearance Friday in Circuit Court in Salisbury on 16 felony counts of animal cruelty and 48 misdemeanor counts of animal abuse and neglect.

  • Dundalk Man Killed In Overnight Boating Accident

    SPARROWS POINT, MD (WJZ) — Maryland Natural Resources Police confirm a Dundalk man has died after a boat struck a day marker around 10 p.m. last night in the Sparrows Point area.
    Investigators say the man, who was not wearing a life jacket, was ejected from the boat during the accident.   Dive crews from Baltimore County were able to recover the body around 2 a.m. this morning.
    The victim has not yet been identified and an autopsy is planned for today.

    HOWARD CO. Md. (WJZ) — Two people killed after their vehicle overturned into the Little Patuxent River have been identified.
    Howard County Police identified the pair as Timothy Antonio Jones, 35, of Baltimore, and Rickell Tareka Brown, 23, of Columbia.
