    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Several people were rescued from flooded roads and highways Sunday in Prince George’s County after steady rain in the region.
    Prince George’s County public information officer Mark Brady tweeted that several people were rescued due to high flood waters.

    ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) — An iconic clock swept away in flooding of downtown Ellicott City has been recovered.
    Howard County Officials posted photos on Twitter Saturday showing the clock’s recovery from the Patapsco River.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — The game between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles on Sunday has been postponed because of the threat of all-day rain, leaving both teams with yet another doubleheader down the road.

  • Heavy Rains Cause Sewer Overflow In Suburban Maryland

    FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) — Heavy rains in the greater Washington region have caused a sanitary sewer overflow at a pumping station in Fort Washington, Maryland.
    The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says the overflow occurred for about two hours Saturday afternoon. The commission estimates that about 17,000 gallons of diluted wastewater went untreated.
    The pumping station was working properly but the rainfall exceeded the pumping capacity.

    BALTIMORE, Md. —  A 68-year-old woman is dead after police say she was stabbed by her boyfriend inside a South Baltimore home.

  • Police: 2 Mailboxes Explode In Baltimore County

    ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) — Police are investigating after two mailboxes exploded in separate incidents in Essex on Saturday morning.
    Baltimore County Police officers were called around 1 a.m. for sounds of fireworks but could not locate any disturbance.
    Around 10 a.m., a resident called police to Turkey Point Road after discovering an exploded mailbox. During an investigation, officers found a second damaged mailbox nearby.
