    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Maryland Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
    WJZ’s Meg McNamara says the watch is in effect for Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties and Baltimore City.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Baltimore County Police are looking for a missing 81-year-old man.
    Frederick Thompson Lincoln was last seen walking away from his home just before 10 a.m. this morning in the 2100 block of Streamway Court.
    Lincoln is described as a 5-foot-10 black male weighing 165 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black cap, tan coat, blue jeans and black shoes. Authorities say he may not be aware of his surroundings.If anyone has information about Lincoln,
  • Paris Stabbings Investigated As Terror Attack, Claimed By IS

    PARIS (AP) — A knife-wielding assailant killed a 29-year-old man and injured four others in a lively neighborhood near Paris’ famed Opera Garnier before he was killed by police Saturday night. The Islamic State group claimed the attacker as one of its “soldiers.”
    Counterterrorism authorities took charge of the investigation, and President Emmanuel Macron vowed that France would not bow to extremists despite being the target of multiple deadly attacks in recent years.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Authorities are searching for a missing elderly man who was last seen on May 11.
    Baltimore Police say 76-year-old Edgar Johnson was last seen in the 400 block of Cummings Court.
    Johnson is 5-foot-7 and weighs 157 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue pants and white shoes.Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

    Police say Joan Alawode was last seen on May 10 in the 400 block of S. Wickham Road.
    She is described as 5-foot-7 and weighs 140 pounds. Authorities say she was last seen wearing a red jacket, brown pants and white shoes.Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.

  • Former Army Official Gets 6 Years In Bribery Scheme

    BALTIMORE (AP) — A former Army official has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for accepting bribes related to contracting at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
    Forty-four-year-old John Kays of Pinehurst, North Carolina, also was ordered Friday to forfeit more than $631,000 and pay restitution of more than $880,000.

  • Teenager Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Man In Maryland

    LANHAM, Md. (AP) — Police in Maryland have charged a 16-year-old in the fatal stabbing of a man who was in a live-in relationship with his mother.
    A Prince George’s County police statement says the teenager stabbed 53-year-old Herman Jackson and shot him with a BB gun multiple times during a dispute.
    Responding officers found Jackson mortally wounded from stab wounds. The teenager was at home when officers arrived, and police say he confessed.

  • Man Pleads Guilty In Alleged $50 Million Fraud Scheme

    BALTIMORE (AP) — A former Maryland resident who ran a telemarketing business hawking light bulbs and cleaning supplies has pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and conspiracy to defraud the IRS.
    Fifty-seven-year-old Eric Epstein of Pompano Beach, Florida, entered the plea Wednesday in federal court in Baltimore. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in September.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting in the 900 block of Bennett Place.
    Police say officers were called to the 900 block of Bennett Place on May 11 at about 11:00 p.m. for a report of a shooting. However, when officers arrived, they were unable to find a victim.
    A 22-year-old man was found a short time later at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach. Investigators believe the victim was in the same location when he was shot.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A 57-year-old Elkton woman has been sentenced to six years in prison for charges related to a murder-for-hire case.
    Prosecutors say in April 2017, Susan Anderson asked a frequent customer of the store where she worked to murder her niece’s ex-boyfriend.
    The customer then informed the FBI of Anderson’s solicitation, and over the following two weeks, the customer agreed to record conversations with Anderson inside the store.

  • Block Of Ice Falls From The Sky, Damages Md. Home

    BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ) — It wasn’t hailing, but officials say a block of ice fell from the sky and struck a home in Bel Air on Friday.
    The home in the 900 block of Sidehill Drive sustained minor damage after the chunk hit a corner of the roof. Harford County Fire says the ice damaged the front gable and an exterior light.
    Bel Air saw an above-average high of 80 degrees Friday afternoon with no precipitation in the area.
