• Maryland To Offer Free Tuition At Community Colleges

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Going to community college may soon be much more affordable for Maryland residents.
    Gov. Larry Hogan plans to sign a bill this week the covers tuition costs at community colleges for qualifying residents.
    The legislation was approved near the end of this year’s legislative session. It will create a $15 million program to provide scholarships of up to $5,000 to students from families earning less than $125,000 a year. Single adults earning less than $90,000 also
  • Public Meetings Set On Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study

    BALTIMORE (AP) — The Maryland Transportation Authority is hosting a series of public meetings regarding a study of traffic capacity and access across the Chesapeake Bay.
    The Bay Crossing Study is aimed at addressing congestion at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and evaluating the feasibility of new crossings.
    The series of six meetings begins Tuesday at Calvert High School in Prince Frederick and concludes May 22 at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — Khris Davis took a “pitchers’ ballgame” into his own hands.
    Davis homered in the 12th inning, lifting the Oakland Athletics to a 2-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.

    Baltimore (WJZ) — The Maryland Jockey Club has confirmed with hall of fame trainer Bob Baffert that Kentucky Derby winner Justify will be heading to the Preakness to race on Saturday May 19th.

  • 28-Year-old Man Killed In Overnight Accident On I-83

    PARKTON, MD (WJZ) — Maryland State Police responded to I-83 just north of Mt Carmel Road in the Parkton area for a report of an accident around 10:40pm Saturday night.

  • One Teen Killed, Another Injured In East Baltimore Shooting

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One teenager has been killed and another has been injured in a shooting in East Baltimore on Saturday night.
    Officers responded to the 100 block of Broadway Street for a report of a shooting just after 6 p.m
