    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Since February BGE has been working on a $31 million project to replace a 70-year-old gas line that partially runs through Leakin Park in Baltimore.
    Crews are hoping to replace the old by leaving something new.

    GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — Federal authorities are asking for more time before seeking an indictment against a Maryland man accused of secretly recording dozens of children at his home and at a local gymnastics center.

  • 4 Dead In Tennessee Waffle House Shooting; Suspect Sought

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Four people were killed in a shooting at a Waffle House restaurant in Tennessee early Sunday, according to police, who credited a bystander with saving “many lives” by wrestling a weapon away from the gunman.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three people were killed in a fire Saturday night at an Anne Arundel County building that was being used as a group home.
    Fire crews were called out just after 10:45 p.m., after authorities got several 911 calls about a fire in the 7900 block of Stone Hearth Rd., in Severn.

    (CNN) — Some passengers aboard Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 received a $5,000 check after a deadly engine failure that led to an emergency landing in Philadelphia.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A popular new vaping device is forcing an Annapolis high school to remove the doors from half of their restrooms.
    Officials at Broadneck High School says the move is an effort to discourage a recent rise in smoking, vaping and “juuling.”
    Juuling is named after a smoking device that looks like a thumb drive.

  • Baltimore Police Looking For Person Of Interest In Deadly Stabbing

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in an apparent robbery that led to a deadly stabbing Friday.
    Officers responded to the intersection of 3rd Street and East Patapsco Avenue for a reported stabbing around 6:30 p.m. Police found a 26-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to the torso.
    The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He later died as a result of his injuries at Shock Trauma.
