    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 42-year-old man is behind bars after police say he raped a woman inside a vehicle over the weekend.
    Lamont Fowlkes has been charged with two counts of second-degree rape, sexual offense in the fourth-degree, two counts of second-degree assault, and false imprisonment.

    CHICAGO (AP) — The American Dental Association wants dentists to drastically cut back on prescribing opioid painkillers.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — A judge has awarded the mother of an autistic student more than $1 million in damages for the alleged sexual abuse of her daughter on a bus in 2012.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Washington-bound Air Canada flight made an emergency landing at Washington Dulles International Airport Sunday night.
    The pilot reported smoke in the cabin and cockpit of the express jet. The plane was originally headed to Reagan National Airport from Toronto but diverted to Dulles shortly after 6 p.m.

  • Police: Robber Shoots Man In The Leg In West Baltimore

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police say a 43-year-old man was shot in the leg after a suspect robbed him in West Baltimore Sunday night.
    Baltimore City Police officers responded to the 1800 block of a Braddish Avenue for a report of a shooting around 5:45 p.m.

  • Police: 80-Year-Old Woman Killed By Great-Granddaughter

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 22-year-old woman has been charged in the killing of her 80-year-old great-grandmother, police say.
    Shannon Marci Jefferson Lozano has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. She is being held without bond.
    Montgomery County Police say the victim’s husband found his wife, 80-year-old Doris Elizabeth Shelton, unresponsive and not breathing inside their home in the 10500 block of Cascade Place in Wheaton around 3:20 p.m. Friday.
