    SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — Dylan Bundy has been picked to start the Baltimore Orioles’ opener against Minnesota on March 29.
    The 24-year-old right-hander led the Orioles in wins last season, when he was 13-9 with a 4.24 ERA.
    Bundy beat out Kevin Gausman, who started last year’s opener, and Chris Tillman, the starter of the previous three. Last year was Bundy’s first season in the rotation.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is replacing national security adviser H.R. McMaster with John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
    Trump tweets that McMaster has done “an outstanding job & will always remain my friend.” He says Bolton will take over April 9.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — We are just one week away from MLB Opening Day, and on Thursday, the Orioles announced some special honors for some Birdland staples.
    Former second baseman Brian Roberts was elected to the Orioles Hall Of Fame.
    Roberts was drafted by Baltimore in the first round of the 1999 draft, and played 13 seasons with the O’s.

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland House of Delegates approved the state’s $44.5 billion budget on Thursday after some debate over how the state will pay to improve school safety in the aftermath of this week’s school shooting in St. Mary’s County.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore had the second largest decline in population in the United States last year.
    According to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, Baltimore lost 5,310 residents in 2017. Baltimore’s population now stands at 611,648.
    Maryland’s population grew by more than 25,000 during that same time period, with the state having an estimated population of 6,052,177.
