    BALTIMORE (AP) — A member of a Baltimore-area gang has pleaded guilty to racketeering and drug trafficking conspiracy.
    Prosecutors say 39-year-old Takuma Tate was one of 26 alleged gang members and associates charged in a racketeering conspiracy centered on the Murdaland Mafia Piru. It’s a subset of the Bloods gang and controlled the drug trade in parts of northwest Baltimore and neighboring Baltimore County.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore man has been federally indicted for allegedly robbing 10 local restaurants over the span of three weeks.
    The Maryland State’s Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday 49-year-old Antonio Johnson is facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for the robberies.

    Baltimore County Police say Shirley Theresa Thompson died March 10 at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing of a Virginia man. Two teens have been charged.
    Police identified and arrested Maicol Alvarado-Baide, 18, and Erlin Andrades-Zelaya, 18, for the Feb. 25 stabbing. Authorities say the victim is Yefrin Argueta, 23.

  • Montgomery Co. Cop Charged For Stealing From Walmart; Suspended With Pay

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Montgomery County Police officer has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing items from a Walmart in Germantown over several months.
    Jose A. Barahona, age 25, has been charged with theft less than $100, theft $100 to under $1500 and theft scheme $100 to $1500, Montgomery County Police say.
    He has been suspended with pay. His police powers have been suspended pending the investigation and future court action.
