  • Veteran Gunned Down Women Who Devoted Lives To Vets

    YOUNTVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Three women, including one who was pregnant, who devoted their lives to helping traumatized veterans were killed by a patient who had been kicked out of their Northern California treatment program, authorities and a relative of a victim said.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Remember to spring forward this weekend with the start of Daylight Saving Time.
    Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March when clocks are set ahead one hour, meaning more daylight hours. Standard Time begins on the first Sunday in November.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration said Saturday it has taken the first step in the regulatory process to ban bump stocks, likely setting the stage for long legal battles with gun manufacturers while the trigger devices remain on the market.

  • Police Arrest Suspect In Killing Of California Officer

    (CNN) — Police on Saturday afternoon arrested a man suspected of killing one police officer and wounding another in Pomona, California, authorities said.
    Police Chief Michael Olivieri identified the officer who was killed as Greggory Casillas, 30, a recruit still in field training.
    Authorities made the arrest after the suspect barricaded himself in an apartment for more than 15 hours.
    The incident began Friday night after the suspect evaded police in a pickup, crashed and fled.

  • Man Dies From Accidental, Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Authorities say an Edgewood man has died from an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday night.
    The Harford County Sheriff’s Office says around 11:30 p.m., they responded to the 900 block of Woodbridge Court, where they found Tryon Aldo Vice, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
    Medics attempted to save Vice but he died at the scene.
    Police say Vice’s wound was sustained to his upper leg.

    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a 10-year-old girl accidentally ran over her mom and killed her as they attempted to dislodge their car from a snowbank in western New York.
