    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Florida school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz was formally charged Wednesday with 17 counts of first-degree murder, which could mean a death sentence if he is convicted.

    ATLANTA (AP) — More than three weeks have passed since a scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention mysteriously disappeared, and now a reward for information is up to $15,000.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An 18-year-old is behind bars after police say he was in possession of a loaded handgun that was reported stolen in West Virginia.
    A Maryland Transportation Authority Police officer stopped a 2003 Honda Accord at Hanover St. and McComas St. for the driver not using a seat belt.
