  • Man Accused Of Wanting To Eat Child Released On Bond

    COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina man accused of wanting to enslave and eat a child has been released from jail on bond.
    Justin Teeter Bensing of Myrtle Beach was released from jail last month after posting a $20,000 bond, according to court records.
    Bensing, 36, was arrested in Greenville County in early February on charges of criminal solicitation of a minor. He was one of more than 40 people facing charges after an investigation into child sex trafficking.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Power crews have been responding across the state to areas affected by last week’s wind storm.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Normal service has resumed at the site where powerful winds blew a CSX train off its tracks in Cecil County, sending four freight cars toppling into the Susquehanna River.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A ninth grade student has been arrested after police say the teen made a “prank” school threat.
    Authorities investigated a possible threat made against Broadneck High School Monday night.

    Damian Kelly, 42, was last seen at the Paradise Tavern, located in the 6412 Frederick Road, in Catonsville overnight Friday.
    Police say Kelly works at the Westside Men’s Shelter on Redwood Circle and was reported missing when he didn’t show up for work.

    Devonte Tremanine Rhodes was left paralyzed by a shooting on July 9, 2013, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
    On Dec. 8, 2017, Rhodes died, and doctors said he never fully recovered from the injuries he sustained in the 2013 shooting.
    His body was sent to the Medical Examiners Office for autopsy.

  • Maryland Casinos Rake In $136M In February

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Maryland’s casinos generated $136.6 million in revenue in February — a nearly $8 million increase from February 2017.
    Maryland Lottery and Gaming announced Monday the total revenue for the state’s six casinos continued the uptick seen in January when revenues increased 1.2 percent over the same period the previous year.
    February marked the second full month that the state’s casinos could be compared on a year-over-year basis.
