    BRANDYWINE, Md. (WJZ) —An off-duty Prince George’s County Police officer was shot and killed Wednesday morning while trying to protect a neighbor who came to him for help with a domestic situation in Brandywine, investigators say.
    The suspect in the officer’s shooting was also shot and killed.

    46-year old Antonio Johnson was arrested on Tuesday, and police say he subsequently confessed to the robberies. He was charged with robbery, assault, theft, and handgun related violations.

    WYNNE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in northeastern Arkansas are trying to determine the cause of death for two newborns whose bodies were discovered inside of a suitcase along a rural road last week.
    The Cross County Sheriff’s Office says a preliminary autopsy found that the babies, believed to be twins, had a gestational age of about 32 to 34 weeks, or about six to eight weeks premature.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A suspicious vehicle near the White House prompted an evacuation of a building Wednesday morning, but it has since been cleared, according to the U.S. Secret Service.
