    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Legislation that would make knowingly failing to report child abuse a crime in Maryland was passed by the Senate, but faces some skepticism in the House.

    CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) — Authorities have arrested an Oklahoma man for allegedly giving his 12-year-old son advice on how to kill himself.
    Authorities said Friday that the boy suffered minor burns after following his father’s suggestion that he light himself on fire.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Maryland’s licensed marijuana growing companies announced on Thursday that they settled a lawsuit threatening to upend the medical marijuana industry in the state, The Baltimore Sun reports.
