    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore artist and Morgan State University graduate has re-envisioned a controversial H&M ad for kids, which featured a black child wearing a hoodie with the phrase, “coolest monkey in the jungle.”
    “The term ‘monkey’ has been used to degrade people of color for a long time now. And I just think that it’s been used to make us feel unequal to other races. So I did feel some sort of way when I saw it,” Kyle Yearwood told WJZ.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Fire crews are battled a fire in West Baltimore Tuesday evening.
    The Baltimore Fire Department says the fire broke out around 5 p.m. at 134 South Morley St., between Old Frederick Rd. and St. Joseph St.Officials deemed the house a complete loss and no injuries were reported.

    ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A 6-year-old Florida boy has died from rabies he contracted after being scratched by an infected bat.

    NEW YORK (AP) — General Motors expects strong sales in North America and China to sustain its profit through 2018.
    The automaker on Tuesday reaffirmed its 2017 expectations for profit between $6 and $6.50 per share and said it expects similar results in 2018. The company also cited cost cutting and growth in other units, including GM Financial, as factors in maintaining profit.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police say one person is dead and three have been injured after a driver reportedly fled an attempted traffic stop in a stolen car in Harford County.
    Maryland State Police say around 9 p.m. Monday, a trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop involving a blue 2005 Subaru Outback on eastbound Route 40 at Landing Lane in Elkton in Cecil County. The car was reported stolen out of Baltimore City, according to police. The driver of the car refused to stop, then made a U-turn
