    The babies have a few things in common: neither one was due to arrive on New Year’s Day and they both have great hair.
    As the city counted down to 2018, another countdown was underway at St. Agnes Hospital, where shortly after midnight, Baltimore’s first baby of 2018 was born.

  • 16-Year-Old Accused Of Killing Parents, Sister Minutes Before New Year

    LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — A 16-year-old New Jersey boy armed with a semi-automatic rifle shot and killed his parents, sister and a family friend inside the home where they lived, authorities said Monday.
    Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni said Monday that the teen will be charged with four counts of murder and a weapons offense stemming from the shooting that occurred late Sunday night, less than 20 minutes before midnight on New Year’s Eve in the shore town of Long Branch.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — Two men in Baltimore have been charged after celebratory gunfire was reported on New Year’s Eve.
    Police say in a news release that patrol officers saw a man firing a shotgun about 8:35 p.m. Sunday in an alley in south Baltimore. Authorities say the man then went into a house.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police in Baltimore have arrested a 15-year-old male who they say had a loaded handgun and marijuana in his possession.
    Officials arrested the teenager on Saturday and say the gun had been reported stolen from Hagerstown. The arrest took place at the 1500 block of Shields Place in Baltimore.
