    RESTON, Va. (AP) — A teenager has been charged with fatally shooting a couple in their northern Virginia home.
    Police say the 17-year-old shot himself after shooting the couple and is hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
    Police in Fairfax County, a Washington suburb, announced Saturday they filed charges against the teen. His name wasn’t released because of his age.

    BARTOW, Fla. (WJZ/AP) — Authorities say two of the five people killed in a fiery small plane crash in Florida are from Baltimore.
    The twin-engine Cessna 340 crashed shortly after takeoff at Bartow Municipal Airport, immediately killing the 70-year-old pilot and his four adult passengers, according to a statement from Polk County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Horstman. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash.

  • Neighbor Charged With Murder After Argument, Shooting

    NANJEMOY, Md. (AP) — A southern Maryland man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his neighbor. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that 33-year-old Marcus D. Johnson of Nanjemoy is being held without bond at the county jail.
    The sheriff’s office says it received a report of a shooting Saturday at 4 p.m. on Bowie Road in Nanjemoy.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Gov. Jerry Brown on Saturday announced pardons or sentence reductions for some 150 convicted criminals, including two Cambodian refugees facing deportation and a woman who has spent 33 years in prison despite a bungled plea deal that could have freed her decades ago.

  • Street Renamed For Child Who Killed Himself

    CINCINNATI (AP) — Part of a street in Cincinnati has been renamed after an 8-year-old boy who killed himself earlier this year.
    A street in the city’s Westwood neighborhood has been renamed “Gabriel’s Way” in honor of Gabriel Taye. Councilman Charlie Winburn presented the proclamation on Wednesday, saying he was bullied as a child.
    Taye’s family says the boy hanged himself after being bullied at his elementary school.
