• Woman Pulled From Potomac After Jumping From Wilson Bridge

    FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) — A woman was pulled from the Potomac River by boaters after witnesses say she jumped from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
    Mark Brady, a spokesman for the fire and rescue department in Prince George’s County, Maryland, said on his Twitter account that the rescue occurred Saturday morning.
    Brady said the woman was pulled from the water by a civilian boater while multiple rescue agencies from Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia also responded.

  • Pregnant Arizona Woman Shot While Sleeping, Baby Survives

    TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in southern Arizona say a pregnant woman was shot and killed in her sleep when someone opened fire on her home, but doctors were able to save her baby.
    The Tucson Police Department said in a news release that several others in the home were asleep when they awoke around 4:30 a.m. Saturday to the sounds of 19-year-old Jasmine Vega screaming.
    Arriving officers found her unconscious and the fire department took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

    VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) — A reused SpaceX rocket carried 10 satellites into orbit from California on Friday, leaving behind a trail of mystery and wonder as it soared into space.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– City police arrested a man Friday who fled from them while he was smoking marijuana.
    Baltimore officials say around 12:30 p.m., they responded to the 900 block of North Milton Avenue for a report of shots fired.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Baltimore County officials say two people have died in an early Saturday morning crash in Middle River.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three Baltimore County officers are recovering after becoming exposed to Fentanyl, police say.
    Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is similar to morphine but is 50 to 100 times more potent.
