    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– The RESCO plant sits at the end of Russell Street, near Baltimore’s two sports stadiums.
    Basically it’s a combination of an incinerator and a power plant, it burns Baltimore’s trash to make steam and generate electricity, but that isn’t all it makes.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Lilac Fire in San Diego last week killed at least 46 elite horses and injured three workers at a training facility owned by The Stronach Group.

  • Construction Worker Dies After Scaffold Collapses At Future Site Of Maryland Elementary School

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Authorities say a construction worker has died after a scaffold collapsed Monday morning in Frederick County.
    The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says the man died after a scaffold at 3400 Stone Barn Drive in Urbana, the future site of Sugarloaf Elementary School, collapsed at about 11 a.m.
    Officials say the man and another worker were attaching panels to the exterior of the building, when the scaffold collapsed and both fell 25 feet to the ground.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — More than 850 gallons of magnesium hydroxide were accidentally released into a river in Baltimore.
    The Baltimore City Department of Public Works says in a release that 856 gallons of the chemical commonly known as milk of magnesia started to leak into the Patapsco River around 1 p.m. Friday.

    NEW YORK (AP) — Police say one person has been arrested after a device exploded on a New York City subway platform near Times Square.

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee woman’s video of her tearful son recounting being bullied at middle school has prompted a wave of support from athletes and entertainers.
    Kimberly Jones said in a Facebook post Friday she had just picked up her son, Keaton, from school because he was too afraid to go to lunch.
