• Connecticut College To Accept Puerto Rico ‘Guest’ Students

    NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut College has established a guest student program for college students from Puerto Rico whose education was disrupted after Hurricane Maria hit the island in September.
    The New London private liberal arts college said Friday that students from the University of Puerto Rico can apply to the school for the spring 2018 semester. The school will provide room, board and tuition for up to six students.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– City police recovered a loaded gun and arrested a man after he fled from the vehicle he was driving Friday night.
    Baltimore officers arrested 20-year-old Jokolby Cooper after they say he pulled over after authorities attempted to stop him, jumped out a blue Volvo and fled.Detectives say Cooper had a loaded .380 caliber handgun on him at the time of the arrest.Cooper was transported to Central Booking where he was charged with handgun violations.

  • Man, Woman Found Dead In Middle River Home

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police in Baltimore County are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead in a Middle River home.
    According to our media partners at The Baltimore Sun, police were called to the scene on Honeycomb Road around 11 a.m. when a homeowner found the victims in a bedroom.
    Their identities and cause of death have not been released, but police are calling it a homicide.

  • Police: Essex Man May Have Been In Argument Prior To Being Fatally Shot

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Baltimore County police say a man was fatally shot in Essex Friday night.
    Officers say just after 8 p.m. they responded to the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive, where they discovered 25-year-old Lance Chaz Dixon suffering from a gunshot wound.
    Dixon was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
    Detectives say Dixon may have been involved in an argument before being shot.
