• 4 Displaced After Howard County Blaze Rips Through Home

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Four residents have been displaced after a Howard County fire ripped through their home Sunday afternoon.
    Howard County fire officials said shortly before 3:30 p.m., they responded to a fire in the 5500 block of High Tor Hill in Columbia after neighbors reported seeing flames and smoke.

    Crews were able to extinguish the fire after about an hour.
    The Red Cross has been requested to assist with finding the occupants of the home with housing.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — The short list of the Baltimore Ravens’ greatest defensive players begins with Ray Lewis and ends with Ed Reed.
    That’s it.
    Perhaps it’s time to add another name to that elite club. Terrell Suggs has been harassing quarterbacks for 15 years now, and at age 35 is still going strong.

  • Police Searching For Missing 10-Year-Old

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a 10-year old who ran away from home.
    Detectives are searching for Terrance Reaves, who was last seen Sunday morning in the 600 block of McCabe Ave.
    He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and black pants.
    Anyone with information on Reaves’ whereabouts is asked to call 911.

    SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (AP) — Authorities say a suburban Chicago mother who was scheduled to return to prison for killing her severely disabled daughter in 2015 has been found dead of an apparent suicide.

    DETROIT (AP) — Police say an off-duty sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man who had broken into her home in southwest Detroit.
    The Wayne County deputy was inside the home when she heard a door being kicked in about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The deputy told investigators she grabbed her weapon and fired shots at the intruder, who was armed with a pistol and wearing a black ski mask.
    The man was struck in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene.
