    LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man who survived the Oct. 1 mass shooting that killed 58 concert-goers and injured hundreds in Las Vegas has been killed in a hit-and-run in southern Nevada.

    MIAMI (AP) — U.S. Border patrol agents have detained a Florida teenager trying to enter Canada whom police want to interview in connection with the death of his grandmother.

    CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado man convicted of running a prostitution ring involving children and young adults has been sentenced to 472 years in prison.
    31-year-old Brock Franklin was sentenced by Arapahoe County Judge Peter F. Michaelson on Tuesday.
    Franklin was convicted Friday on 30 counts, including human trafficking of a minor and kidnapping.

  • 2017 Deer Season Allows Air Guns, Hunting Guides

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The season for hunting deer with firearms has begun in Maryland.
    The Maryland Department of Natural Resources said in a statement that the two-week season runs from Saturday through December 9.
    It allows hunters to shoot sika and white-tailed deer and helps the state manage the deer population.
    For the first time this year, hunters will be allowed to use certain air guns.

    MIAMI (AP) — The U.S. Navy says two sailors from Florida and another from Louisiana died in an aircraft crash in the Philippine Sea.

  • Cops: Naked, Drunken Man With Child In Back Seat Drives Into Tree While Having Sex

    LA GRANDE, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a man who was drunk, naked and having sex with a woman while driving south of Tacoma missed a curve and struck a tree.
    Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova says the crash happened at about 6 p.m. Wednesday on Mountain Highway East near La Grande.
    Bova says the woman, who was also naked, was hospitalized with broken bones. Bova says her 3-month-old child in the backseat was uninjured.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An 18-year-old armed with a handgun was arrested shortly after police say he robbed a person of their car keys Friday night.
