  • 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Harford County Crash

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One person is dead and at least one other person was injured following a wreck in Harford County Tuesday afternoon.
    Authorities say the wreck happened just before 3:45 p.m., on Mountain Rd. (Route 152), between Stratford Rd. and Reckord Rd.
    The crash involved an SUV and a work truck. One person was pronounced dead on scene, and another person was taken by helicopter to an area hospital.

    BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A 23-year-old white man arrested Tuesday was accused of killing two black men and firing on a black family in a string of attacks that police say may have been racially motivated.

    TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas has suspended a Missouri doctor’s medical license for 90 days for failing to preserve a fetal tissue sample from a 13-year-old girl’s abortion.
    The State Board of Healing Arts concluded that Dr. Allen S. Palmer violated a Kansas law during the December 2014 abortion. Palmer was working as a contractor for Planned Parenthood’s clinic in Overland Park. He no longer provides services there.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 21-year-old man from Kyrgyzstan has been arrested after authorities say he was using a penny to engrave letters into the Lincoln Memorial.
    Nurtilek Baktrov has been charged with malicious destruction of property.
    United States Park Police report Baktrov was engraving the letters “HYPT MAEK” into the fifth pillar on the north side of the Lincoln Memorial.
    Baktrov could face up 10 years in prison and fined up to $25,000.
