BALTIMORE (WJZ) — New fallout from the Department of Justice’s decision to close its investigation into Freddie Gray’s death without filing charges against any officers.
The Gray family attorneys spoke about the decision Wednesday. Members of the Gray family were supposed to speak, but they did not attend the press conference, saying they were tired of dealing with bad news.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Guide dogs and miniature horses are now allowed at all Baltimore City Public Schools after the school board approved a new policy to recognize both dogs and mini horses as service animals at all of their facilities.

1 Killed, 3 Injured In Shooting At High School In Washington State
ROCKFORD, Wash. (AP) — One person is dead and three others are injured after a shooting at a high school in Washington state, local fire officials say.
Brian Schaeffer of the Spokane Fire Department says the threat “has been eliminated” at Freeman High School in Rockford, south of Spokane. Spokane Public Schools says on Twitter that the school is no longer lockdown.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police arrested a 15-year-old after they found him with a loaded handgun.
The Baltimore Police Department reports officers were investigating near York Rd. and Woodbourne Ave., when they saw an armed 15-year-old boy.

24-year-old Lauren Hartley was last seen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, in the 500 block of N. Wolfe St., but has since been found.

Supporters Of Clean Energy To Outline Jobs Campaign
BALTIMORE (AP) — Clean energy supporters in Maryland are announcing a new campaign to require that 50 percent of the state’s electricity come from renewable sources by 2030.
They have scheduled a news conference Wednesday in Baltimore to discuss a legislative proposal to expand Maryland’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. That requires utilities to buy a certain percentage of renewable energy each year from the current target of 20 percent by 2020.

DENVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Two women have delivered healthy babies on back-to-back days in the parking lot of the same Burger King restaurant in New Jersey.

CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu has asked the state attorney general’s office to help with an investigation in Claremont following an allegation that an 8-year-old biracial boy was nearly hanged by a group of teens.
Sununu said Tuesday he expects local and state authorities to “investigate appropriately.”

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — For the first eight months after reportedly kicking a suspect, a Baltimore County Police officer answers to a jury. He faces charges of excessive force against an accused car thief.

Edith Windsor, Who Helped End Gay Marriage Ban, Dies At 88
NEW YORK (AP) — Edith Windsor, a gay rights pioneer whose landmark Supreme Court case struck down parts of a federal anti-gay-marriage law and paved a path toward legalizing same-sex nuptials nationwide, died Tuesday. She was 88.
Windsor died in New York, said her lawyer, Roberta Kaplan. The cause of death wasn’t given, but Windsor had struggled with heart issues for years.
